The SolaceCreek™ Site network was conceived in the early days of the millenium after a visit to the Fine Arts Gallery at the Bellagio hotel in Las Vegas. Forty brilliant works of art, Renoir, Rembrandt, Van Gogh, Miro, the list goes on and on. But one...

One painting... A painting the July 1890 issue of The Critic magazine called "a French psychological drama on canvas." A painting that sold at Sotheby's in 1998 for nearly two million dollars.

The painting... Jean Beraud's The Casino at Monte Carlo. Examine the faces...

Fifty faces, each with a story. Fifty stories in the same place at the same time. Some of the stories are at the beginning. Some, as signified by the distraught or dismal expressions are at an end. The rest, somewhere in between.

For several years the images wouldn't leave my head, and with that came the thought about a small-town filled with people, each at their own point in time, in their own stories....
